How to limit children's TVWhen children engage with their favorite cartoon characters no one can remove them from the television screen. Not bad for our kids to have fun watching children’s programs. The danger is when too many hours (4 to 6 hours daily) that pass in front of the TV.

What can we do to limit exposure to television on children? It is recommended that exposure time does not exceed 2 am daily. If you have children “couch potato”, consider these tips:

Have a plan. All parents should have children’s play ideas alternative to television or computer. You can take them to the park for a walk with your pet, offer coloring, board games and other activities that can entertain away from the TV.

Be active with your child. For the kids love spending time with their parents. Play with them! If we leave them alone is likely to remain several hours watching television.

If necessary, remove the TV instead. It is not good that children have TV in your room if you spend too much time in front of her. Rearrange the furniture in your living in such a way that television is not the center of the home. Sometimes it is the same device the caller but its convenient location in the house somewhere.

Adjusts schedules. It’s good for parents to be alert to the times that our children watch television and, occasionally, we see ourselves what they are watching. It is preferable to leave it off the TV on.

Leads by example. If you limit the hours of television on children but you are addicted to it, you’re not being fair. You can not spend all day watching soap operas, movies, series or football games. The best way to influence our children is by example.
