Passion Flower (Passiflora incarnata)

Kava (Piper methysticum).

Dose: 100 mg. extract with 70% kavalactones divided into three parts. Pregnant women, young children and people with severe depression should be avoided. In high doses, kava has a narcotic and psychoactive effect. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery after taking kava-based products, as this plant can induce sleep and reduce normal reflexes. Avoid alcohol while taking kava.

Chronic ingestion of high doses of kava can cause scaly skin eruptions, which are known by the name “kava dermopathy by.” Do not use in cases of epilepsy or Parkinson’s. Should not be taken for more than three months. In Spain it is considered illegal.
